Completely safe and chemical-free
Using a jet-precision blast, the hygienist can give you a brighter and healthier smile after just one visit.
What is Airflow Polishing?
Completely safe, chemical-free and gentler on your teeth and gums than traditional cleaning tools, Airflow combines air, water and a very fine bicarbonate powder into a focused stream that buffs away plaque and stains from teeth and under the gum line.
Although this treatment is not a tooth whitening therapy, Airflow will significantly improve tooth brightness and give you a noticeably sparkling fresh healthy mouth in an instant.
How does Airflow polishing work?
The Airflow polishing system shoots a high pressured blast of water, bicarbonate (usually lemon flavour), and air through a small nozzle onto the surfaces of teeth and has been proven to be an effective tool at removing stains and plaque.
Airflow is able to get into the nooks and cranny’s of your teeth, giving you an overall really effective good clean, leaving you with clean, healthy teeth and gums.
Does Airflow Polishing hurt?
Airflow is a no-contact procedure. Due to the high pressure, some patients may feel some tingling or slight discomfort, particularly if you have sensitive teeth. Airflow can be safely used on implants, bridges, crowns and veneers.
