Dr Fernandes carried out her undergraduate training at Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde Egas Moniz in Portugal, qualifying in 2011 with a MSc in Dentistry. She worked one year in Portugal and moved to London aspiring new challenges. She spent the following years gaining experience as a General Dentist in private practices all over London, and took a MSc at Queen Mary University of London. Research is one of her main interests. She has published her research work in some of the most prestigious journals. She commenced her Specialist Orthodontic training in 2016, acquiring her MSc in 2019. She has presented her last research work in EOS Nice 2019 and was awarded with the 3rd prize of the DS Bovendeert Award.
Dr Fernandes provides a wide variety of Orthodontic treatment for both children and adults. She loves transforming smiles for the patients she cares for. As orthodontics and technology advances, Dr Fernandes keeps ahead of these changes as part of her continuing professional development to provide the best care for her patients. She is experienced in conventional appliances, as well as Incognito lingual appliances and Invisalign.
In her free time Dr Fernandes loves travelling and photography. She is also a sport enthusiastic – she likes ski, yoga and tennis.
